Located about thirty kilometers from Dakar, this exceptional site owes its colour to a microscopic alga, Dunaliella salina, and to its high salt concentration almost as strong as that of the Dead Sea!

Famous worldwide as the former finish line of the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally, the lake now offers a spectacular setting for adventure. A real-life postcard scene, the lake is bordered by golden dunes and villages where inhabitants extract salt by hand. You will discover a captivating sight there, both serene and impressive.
